Water under the floor, a backed-up drain, or a ceiling that’s starting to sag? Call or send a few details, and a local water damage pro will get back to you about drying out and repairing your North Richland Hills home.

When to call the city
For a water main break or a water or sewer system emergency, North Richland Hills Public Works says to call 817-427-6440 during office hours (weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) or 817-281-1000 after hours. That’s on the city’s Water Department page. If your own drain line is the problem, that’s a plumber. The cleanup inside is separate either way; see sewage cleanup.
Catch a hidden leak early
NRH has plenty of older homes, and older plumbing under a slab can leak for a while before anything shows. Turn off every faucet and appliance and watch your water meter for a few minutes. If it’s still moving, something’s leaking. Catching it there is a lot cheaper than catching it when the floor gets warm or the baseboards swell. The city’s Water Department page also links to EyeOnWater for keeping an eye on your usage, and the Water Office at 817-427-6200 can tell you how to use it.
See burst pipes and leaks for the other warning signs.
